Trade Me: Brandon Aiyuk Wants Out, But 49ers Unlikely To Move Him
Aiyuk is a hot commodity, and if things don't work out with the 49ers, there will be at least 15 teams in the NFL willing to give up a first-round draft pick for Aiyuk.

After watching Deebo Samuel ask to be traded in 2022 and then later score a three-year, $73.5 million extension, Brandon Aiyuk may be just pulling a Samuel in his contract negotiations with the San Francisco 49ers.
Aiyuk has asked for a trade after he and the team were unable to reach an agreement on a contract extension, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Aiyuk and team brass reportedly met "recently," but "the Niners haven't been willing to engage in negotiations since May."
In the last two seasons, Aiyuk became one of quarterback Brock Purdy's key targets, racking up 153 receptions for 2,357 yards and 15 touchdowns during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
THE UNDERRATED OPINION
I doubt that Aiyuk wants out of San Francisco; I guess this is a negotiation tactic, but it's unclear if the 49ers will budge. For Aiyuk, you can't blame him for wanting to get paid, especially since the 49ers have the money; it's just a question of whether they have the money for Aiyuk.
Either way, Aiyuk is a hot commodity, and if things don't work out with the 49ers, there will be at least 15 teams in the NFL willing to give up a first-round draft pick for Aiyuk.
