'Road House’ Rocks THE WORLD With Record-Breaking 50 Million Global Viewers On Prime Video

Judging by the number of streams in the first 2 weekends, if you haven't I'm sure a few of your friends have. The trailer itself was streamed over 21 Million times on YouTube. “Road House,” the Jake Gyllenhaal-led remake of the Patrick Swayze cult favorite, has turned into a run-away hit for Prime Video.

TRAILER DESCRIPTION:
In this adrenaline-fueled reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Doug Liman's reboot of the 1980s cult classic "Road House" has garnered over 50 million viewers on Prime Video during its first two weekends. Amazon has reported that this is a record, surpassing the viewership of any original movie they've ever produced for Prime Video. The Amazon MGM Studios feature, shot with Imax cameras, was released on March 21.

THE UNDERRATED LINE:
Clearly, one of the reasons for the significant viewership is the UFC community and the marketing integrations with ESPN's SportsCenter during the week of the film's release. This included a custom on-air segment, in-studio digital signage, and a hosted voice-over. Additionally, there were other user activations which included sponsoring the high-profile UFC 299 fight in Las Vegas.
