NO SURPRISE CAITLIN CLARK GOES FIRST IN THE WNBA DRAFT
"I got a little anxious there before the pick," Clark said "I've been dreaming of this moment since I was in second grade ... more than anything, trying to soak it in."

Having watched hundreds of drafts across all the major sports over the past 30 years, I can tell you that was the biggest no-brainer of any number-one pick in the history of drafts.
With the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the Indiana Fever takes Caitlin Clark.
"I got a little anxious there before the pick," Clark said with a laugh during an interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe. "I've been dreaming of this moment since I was in second grade ... more than anything, trying to soak it in."
The 6-foot guard from West Des Moines, Iowa, is entering the league at the peak of her career. Clark, a two-time national player of the year, concluded her college journey with a staggering 3,951 points, the highest in men's and women's Division I history. She also guided the Iowa Hawkeyes to consecutive national title game appearances, a first in the program's history.
Known for her logo 3-pointers, spectacular assists, and offensive prowess (averaging 31.6 points per game as a senior and 28.4 points for her career), Clark has attracted sellout crowds in Iowa City and on the road. Her performances have also shattered television ratings across various networks and streaming platforms.
