THE LAKERS ARE FINDING NEW AND CREATIVE WAYS TO GET BEAT BY THE NUGGETS

EVERY ANGLE OF JAMAL MURRAY’S INSANE GAME-WINNING BUZZER-BEATER

Apr 23, 2024

Unfortunately for the Los Angeles Lakers, history appears to be repeating itself. The Lakers, who found yet another way to lose a game to the Denver Nuggets this time, experienced one of those gut-wrenching losses that could stick with a player and its fans for years to come.

It was Jamal Murray's turn as he delivered the blow with an incredible game-winning shot over a fully extended Anthony Davis. Murray's shot secured a thrilling 101-99 victory for the Nuggets on Monday night, leaving fans in awe and Davis and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers nation in shock.

The Lakers are experiencing a painful case of déjà vu. Monday night marked the third straight game against the Nuggets, where they let slip a double-digit lead, extending their losing streak against Nikola Jokic and his team to 10 games.

The 20-point advantage the Lakers held in the third quarter evaporated almost effortlessly like dew on your car's windshield after running for a few minutes. This was actually the Lakers' second-largest playoff lead blown in over 25 years and ranking among the franchise's worst collapses.

THE UNDERRATED OPINION
Loses are always tough in the playoffs, but this one seems like it might be especially difficult to come back from. On a night in which Jamal Murray struggled, the Lakers were still unable to close the door on the Nuggets.

While I don’t expect the Lakers to cav in game 3 in Los Angeles, I suspect this series will only last five games. The Lakers appear outmanned and, more importantly, outcoached regularly by the Denver Nuggets.
