In typical New York Knicks fashion, tonight's game one second-round matchup with the Indiana Pacers went down to the wire.
With MVP chants raining down on him, Jalen Brunson and some clutch assistance from Donte DiVincenzo down the stretch led the Knicks to a 121 -117 win at a rocking Madison Square Garden.
Brunson finished the game with 43, and DiVincenzo scored 25. The Villanova connection outscored his Villanova Knick alum Josh Hart by one point, scoring 92 of the Knicks' 121 points in the win.
Brunson scored 21 of his 43 in the 4th quarter.
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau did what he is known to do: He rode his starters hard, using only three bench players.
Game 2 of the Pacers-Knicks series is scheduled for Wednesday. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. ET with the broadcast on TNT.
