Anthony Edwards Ant Man Scores 43 Timberwolves Beat Nuggets

Anthony Edwards served notice to the Denver Nuggets with his 43-point explosion as the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Nuggets 106-99 in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series.

The game was a back-and-forth battle, showcasing Ant-Mans' talent against the reigning champions. Edwards came out strong, scoring 16 points in the first quarter, including 13 of Minnesota's first 18, to give the Timberwolves an early lead. The Nuggets fought back with a 21-5 run to end the quarter ahead 25-23.

The game remained tight, but a late surge by the Timberwolves, led by Naz Reid, proved decisive. Reid scored ten consecutive points in the fourth quarter, including two crucial 3-pointers, to put Minnesota ahead 94-88.

Despite Denver's efforts, they couldn't overcome the Timberwolves' lead, suffering a rare home loss and trailing in a playoff series for the first time since 2022.

Edwards finished with a game-high 43 points, his third consecutive game with 35 or more points, along with seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal. His performance was a key factor in Minnesota's victory.

Karl Anthony Towns had 20, and Nz Reid had 16 off the bench.

THE UNDERRATED
Clearly, Anthony Edwards, aka Ant-Man, has arrived. It's not just his scoring but also his tough defense, which makes him one of the most dynamic players left in the NBA playoffs.

If you will, Anthony Edwards continues to prove that he is the man!
