The Timberwolves Were Engineered To Play Swarming Defense. Will It Be Enough To Take Down The Mavericks?
Preview of the Western Conference FInals: When the Timberwolves defense swarms, will the Mavs be able to stop it?
May 21, 2024
Hard to believe, but the Minnesota Timberwolves are playing in their first Western Conference in twenty years and have a legit chance to make it all the way to the NBA Finals if they can beat Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the rest of the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavs are clearly deeper than the Denver Nuggets, as their roaster includes P.J. Washington, Daniel Gafford, Derrick Jones Jr., Tim Hardaway Jr., and their high-energy rookie Dereck Lively.
If the Wolves are going to beat the Mavericks, it will most likely be because their swarming defense can hone in on matchups that Mavs head coach Jason Kidd cannot adjust to fast enough.
