The New York Knicks look like they got held up in a subway by a member of the front office of the Brooklyn Nets. Tonight, they traded for Mikal Bridges, giving up five first-round draft picks, several second-round picks, and Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Nets will receive an unprotected first-round pick in 2025, 2027, 2029, and 2031, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. They'll also receive a protected first-round pick from the Milwaukee Bucks in 2025, a second-round pick in 2025, and a protected pick swap in 2028.

Bridges now becomes the fourth member of the Villanova Knicks. While Bridges will certainly be an excellent addition to the Knicks, for his career he has actually averaged under 15 points a game.

Bridges averaged 19.6 points and 4.5 rebounds last season with the Nets. He has two years left on his four-year, $90.9 million deal.

While I'm sure many of the pundits will point to team chemistry being important to justify giving up the farm for Bridges, the reality is the Nets just pulled off a monumental fleece job on the Knicks.
