Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark Scores Her First WNBA Win With A Clutch 3-Pointer Late

When will Caitlin Clark win her first WNBA game? The question was answered as the Fever took down the Los Angeles Sparks; the Fever were down 11 at the half and came storming back to complete the win 78-73.

Clark finished the game with a double-double—11 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists—and hit a long-range 3-pointer with 40 seconds to go in the game. She had an inefficient night shooting 4-of-14 shooting, 2-of-9 from deep.

The Indiana Fever scored their first win of the season against the Sparks as over 19,100 fans showed up in Los Angeles to watch Caitlin Clark's first WNBA win.

The Sparks rookie Cameron Brink finished with 15 points.

Prior to the game, Clark said she was not worried about online narratives and was just trying to help her team win. 

"To be honest, I'm not really on social media, like I don't read that," Clark said. "This is my job. My job is to compete and play basketball every single day. I think the more attention we can get on every team around this league, that's only gonna help it get better and better. 

"But like I said, my job is just to continue to show up and help this team to get better. Obviously, we're fighting for our first win and that's my main focus. That's where 110% of [my focus] is. That's what I think about every single day is coming in and getting better and focus on the things that I need to focus on."

"They're making a huge impact in our league," Fever coach Christie Sides said before the game.
