HBO picks correctly with this year's Hard Knocks, which will feature the number one NFL draft pick, Caleb Williams, and the Chicago Bears.
Let's face it: outside of the normal Aaron Rodgers stories and will The Cowboys pay Dak or not, the most intriguing story of this year's NFL offseason is clearly the potential resurgents of the Chicago Bears, who some 40 years later are still suffering from a Super Bowl shuffle hangover.
It's really not hard to see why HBO went the Bears for "Hard Knocks" this year:
The Justin Fields fallout
Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall draft pick
A head coach who has spent the last two years on the hot seat
The Bears are trying to make the playoffs
Rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze
The Bears' veteran wide receivers now include D.J. More and Keenan Allen
"The 2024 training camp will be big for us in preparation for achieving our season goals, and we look forward to bringing the fans at home along for the journey," general manager Ryan Poles said in the Hard Knocks press release.
“Our players, coaches, and staff are excited to continue the process of building for the 2024 season," said Matt Eberflus, Chicago Bears head coach.
Hard Knocks will capture his preparation for a pressure-packed first year in the NFL with a five-episode series that starts on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 9 p.m. ET and runs through Sept. 3.
