TO THE MOTHERSHIP GOES JASON KELCE

So, you say you want to be a sports media superstar? The first step is to try to follow in the footsteps of Jason Kelce. Sure, you probably are not coming at with all of his credentials, like winning a Super Bowl, being a future hall of famer, and being the Co-Host of the widely successful podcast “New Heights” alongside your brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who received a two-year extension on Monday and happened to be dating the world's most popular pop singer, Taylor Swift.  

Imagine if you had that in your back pocket. You would probably sit on your couch, sipping an expensive glass of Bourbon and mulling over offers from NBC, CBS, Amazon, and ESPN.

What would you do? Well, Jason Kelec appears to have selected the “Mothership,” aka ESPN. 

According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Kelce will be an analyst on ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" pregame show for the 2024 season.

THE UNDERRATED OPINION
At 36 years old, Jason Kelce has built a reputation for being honest, relatable, and funny. His move to television is a natural progression, given his knowledge and personality, which fans can easily connect with. These are of course some of the key factors contributing to the success of “New Heights.”

Ultimately, people's time is valuable, and if you are going to sit down to watch a podcast, you usually want to be informed and entertained, and, yes, most people want to laugh. Kelce clearly delivers on all of the above, so if you want to be a media superstar and you don’t have his credentials, then at the very least, you have to be able to relate, inform, entertain, and make people laugh out loud.
