Does Tom Brady Really Need AI To Prepare to Broadcast NFL Games on Fox?
Tom Brady Said. "I’m using AI in the preparation for that so I can better understand the matchups, the plays, and different situations that come up in the game."

Speaking at the Cisco Live Conference last week, Tom Brady dropped his own AI revelation, which stated that he is using AI to prepare to broadcast NFL games on Fox this year.
What can AI tell Brady that he doesn't already know? We actually reached out to Tom Brady and his team to see if we could get an answer. To be fair to Brady, his team gets a ton of requests every day, and at the time this article was published, we still had not heard back from him or his team.
It's hard to believe that the greatest quarterback of all time has found an AI tool that is helping him better understand the game he dominated for the past 20 years, but technology advancements move pretty fast, so maybe he has his hands on some tech the rest of us haven't seen yet.
Here's what he said.
“I’m about to start my broadcasting career on Fox, and I’m using AI in the preparation for that so I can better understand the matchups, the plays, and different situations that come up in the game.”
Note- we use AI tools to help clean up grammar, etc., and that tool tried to change his quote. We didn't let it.
Seriously, who could forget Brady's angrily destroying tablets on the sideline? But I'm willing to bet that he probably received a nice paycheck for his Cisco Live appearance, which AI technology may have deposited in his bank account.
THE UNDERRATED OPINION
I'm not anti-ai; in fact, I've used a variety of AI technologies over the past 10 years. Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, Google, and several other major tech companies have been selling AI tech stacks to companies around the globe as they embark on their digital transformation for a long time. However, it wasn't until chatGPT launched that the underlying technology finally reached the consumer market.
What Brady did not do was get specific about which AI technologies he was using to prepare better for broadcasting. As a technologist, I'd love to know what tech he is using. We did reach out to Brady's team, and so far, we have not received a response.
We will certainly update this article when and if we get a response; until then, I'll assume he is using something we haven't seen yet.
