Despite Being the Best Player in The NBA Finals, Luka Doncic Needs Help to Beat The Boston Celtics

Normally, in the NBA finals, the team with the best player goes on to win the championship, but that does not look like the case this year. Yes, Luka Doncic is the best player on the court, but the Celtics appear to have the team with more weapons.
In Game 2, it was Jrue Holiday's turn to take center stage as he scored 26 in the Celtics 105-98.
Dončić scored 23 points in the first half, but then the Boston Celtic's defense cooled him down. He finished with a 32-point, 11-assist, 11-rebound triple-double, adding four steals and shooting 12-of-21 from the field and 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. However, Bostons' defense forced him into eight turnovers, contributing to the Celtics' dominance in the game.
Irving struggled in the second half after shooting 5-of-10 before halftime. He ended with 16 points and six assists, hitting only 7-of-18 from the field. He missed all three of his 3-point attempts and has yet to make a 3-pointer in the series, going 0-for-5 in Game 1.
Free throws were again costly for Dallas, as the Mavericks left points at the line with a 16-of-24 effort, while the Celtics converted 19 of 20 attempts.
Game 3 on Wednesday will provide Dallas the comforts of home that could help alleviate Irving's shooting woes.
THE UNDERRATED OPINION
Luke was much better in Game 2, as he did a good job getting his teammates involved. While the Mavs made a late comeback, I think it has become clear to everyone that Luka can't win this year's ring without at least one other player scoring at least 20 points a game.
Irving has struggled in both games. If the Mavericks are to turn this into a real series, Irving needs to step up in Game 3. Without that, it won't matter how well Luka plays; it's as simple as that. To be clear, the Celtics have a significantly better roster, which makes it possible for different role players to have a major impact in games like Prozingis in Game 1 and Holiday in Game 2.
The bottom line is that it doesn't matter if Luka is the best player on the court if he can't receive a major contribution from another player. Simply put, as great as Michael Jordan was, he needed Scottie Pippen to win 6 rings.
